You must have solid C and Assembler coding skills as well as proven experience of coding in Matlab. As well as good software experience including familiarity with using Windows Operating Systems ( XP, Vista, 7 ) you will benefit from having a good understanding of hardware architectures.
You must hold a top class Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or similar discipline, with a post graduate qualification being highly advantageous.
As well as excellent software coding skills you will have a good appreciation of communications systems and appropriate processing techniques for equalisation, demodulation and error correction.
You will be involved with the specification, development and validation of sub systems within a cutting edge bradcast receiver.
You will work within a small dedicated and proficient group of Engineers to identify detailed requirements for functional blocks in the receiver as well as developing proprietary techniques for efficient implementation.

A challenging new opportunity for a Degree qualified Hardware Systems Engineer with a solid background in a high- tech measurement or Instrumentation Systems environment and a good appreciation of Mechanical principles.
The successful applicant will have a good appreciation of the full product lifecycle from feasibility through to integration and manufacture and must be willing and able to travel regularly to the USA as required.
You will provide instrumentation system development and design covering thermal systems, optical systems, signal processing and instrument software and will come from a proven scientific / high technology background.
You will be qualified to a minimum of Bachelors Degree level in Physics, Engineering or a similar Scientific/ Enginering subject and will benefit from holding a post graduate qualification with relevant research experience.
You should have a good understanding of opto-mechanical design including knowledge of optically based materials characterisation systems as well as being familiar with embedded systems and having experience of using MATLAB modelling tools.
