Applicants must have excellent team leadership abilities as well as good hands-on skills, in depth knowledge of System Architectures including OS kernel internals as well as having excellent C language skills.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a 1st or 2.1 Honors Degree ideally in Computer Science gained from a leading University.
TECHNICAL SKILLS SOUGHT:
Linux kernel level development.
Exceptional C programming.
System Architectures including OS kernel internals.
Kernel generalization mechanisms such as ACPI or Flattened Device Tree.
OS Power management implementation.
SMP system level software.
Multiple compilers.
THE ROLE:
The successful Principal Software Engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership to a dedicated team of Linux kernel developers working on kernel generalisation and device drivers for targeted platforms.
You will provide technical direction on device tree bindings, will formulate suitable bindings for complex clock trees and power domain dependencies as well as co-ordinating with the Open Source community on upstream delivery of high quality code.
