Location: South East County: Hertfordshire Market: Technical Authors Discipline: Other Salary: Commensurate with experience A Senior Technical Author will a solid background of authoring within a software orientated environment is sought by an established high-tech company at their East Hertfordshire location.
Applicants will ideally have come from a background in Engineering and will have good software and programming skills together with a good understanding of software use and installation.
The successful Technical Author will write customer facing documentation in the form of printed or electronic media as well as producing artwork for use on manual covers and CD-ROMs packaging.
You will be expected to liaise with project teams to ensure documentation is correct and fit for purpose as well as formatting documents as required.
You must have proven experience of using Framemaker and Webworks and will have excellent computer literacy skills.
Attention to detail is essential as are excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must have the ability to extract and collate relevant information for project teams and translate this engineering text into high quality customer facing documentation.
