Our Client, a Global leader in the development and supply of Electrical Power Systems to the Aerospace sector, is seeking a competent Buyer / Planner to join their Supply Chain team to manage the parts acquisition process for new products.

The ideal candidate to secure this Buyer / Planner role will will have demonstrable experience of working within a manufacturing industry in either a Purchasing or Sourcing role.

You must have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as good PC skills and familiarity with MRP systems.

You will be able to show a proactive approach to aggressive cost reduction and design influence; you will prepare and expedite orders, negotiate prices and terms as well as ensuring development and supply agreements are structured in line with customer terms and programme objectives.

A competitive salary of up to £29K will be offered to the successful candidate together with generous benefits.

Supply Chain Manager

A leading Defence Electronics Company in Buckinghamshire is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to provide focus and management within the project supply chain.

Responsibilities will include day to day management of sub-contractors; creating and implementing a supply chain strategy, managing procurement and planning processes; introducing and managing the internal supply system using Costpoint ERP system; negotiation and placing of commercial terms and purchasing agreements; creating and maintaining a cost database as well as developing purchasing KPIs.

Applicants must have excellent Computer skills including knowledge of ERP / MRP systems, Cost Point, Windows NT, Excel and Outlook.

As Manager of the Supply Chain the successful individual will be responsible for selection and retention of suppliers as well as making financial decisions as dictated by company policy.

Previous experience of working within a Defence environment would be highly beneficial.
Excellent communication skills are required and you must be willing and able to travel off site as required.
